Martha Fort received her BFA in Fine Art with a specialization in Watercolor from Bowling Green State University in 1977. Since then she has pursued art as a career in many different ways: illustrator, instructor, art director, graphic designer and as a visual artist.
She has won the Lucille Lemley Award for Best Painting in the annual May Show at the Mansfield Art Center, where she has been an instructor for over 15 years. She also taught classes at Antonelli School of Art in Cincinnati, Ohio. While living in Cincinnati, Martha had a one-person exhibit at Ludeke Gallery in Montgomery and had a piece in the Natural History Museum's traveling art exhibit.
"Knowing since I was three years old that art was my life, I have recently turned to soft pastel and digital art as my two main mediums. My traditional art and my digital art have merged in unique ways, and each has influenced and improved the other. --Martha Fort
